Day 18 in Tokyo

Toady we are going to explore electric town, Akihabara. Geoff, Diane and Laura take the train on the Chuo line from Shinjuku, and meet the others at Akihabara station. We check out some of the stores. As well as electronic goods there are shops catering for various hobbies (manga, plastic models, anime porn, etc)

As its around lunch time we check out the Gundam Cafe but there is a long wait so we head to a curry cafe instead.

An excellent cheap and tasy meal - we chose from black, red, yellow & spinach curry with whatever meat you wanted. After lunch we check out the Yodabashi store - six stories of cameras, electronics, computers, hi fi, etc. It has a great toy and hobby section on the top floor . Laura finds an Anpan vending machine toy but it's too big to bring home for someone special

We all spend quite a lot of time doing some serious browsing. As you can see, this place is vast.
