Day 12 Tokyo - afternoon

The sleepyheads at Oimachi are still hibernating so Diane and Geoff head out to explore East Shinjuku. We head for the Tokyo Metroplolitan Government building which is the tallest in Tokyo and has an observation area at the top.






There is a nice cafe so we have lunch and enjoy the view






We can also see in the general area of our accommodation although the exact location is blocked by the two towers under construction on the left seen in the photo below






Once leaving the tower we wander around at ground level and admire the interesting architecture
